GENERAL INFO
GigToGoal is a website for people (GigSeekers) to reach their financial goals by requesting, accepting, and completing side work that matches their skills and experience instead of working for low paying gig websites or asking for handout. Each Work Campaign identifies a GigSeeker's skills, experience, availability, and financial goals. When a person offers a GigSeeker short-term work he becomes one of their Campaign Supporters.
A Gig is short-term work that lasts until a specific task or project is completed.
A Supporter is someone who has short term work available and offers it to a GigSeeker and loves that she is willing to work rather than ask for a handout.
No, a basic GigSeeker account is free and all that you need to create a campaign and connect with people in need of your skillset. Further, at this time we have paused fees for all premiums features so that members can take full advantage of all the ways to quickly secure good paying side work. We plan to continue this indefinitely. We will provide at least 30 days notice before we reinstate fee based premium features to give members an opportunity to evaluate their needs at that time.

GIGSEEKER INFO (REQUEST GIGS)
Click the Create Campaign button and, in just a few minutes, you can personalize your GigToGoal Campaign with:
Choose an Earnings Goal or Hours Goal depending on which is right for your Campaign.
An Earnings Goal is used to reach your short-term financial objective. An Earnings Goal encourages others to help you reach your specified goal and get quality work done in the process. For Instance, you might need to save up:
An Hours Goal lets people know that you have limited availability to work. An Hours Goal creates a sense of urgency for your services while you're still available.
Include things that you’re good at, and any work you’ve done in the past that you enjoy. From general work (think yard work, lifting, cleaning, running errands, or making deliveries) to more skilled work (like software skills, carpentry, sewing, or a licensed skill), list what you’re good at so you get Gigs that are a perfect fit for you.
Log in to your GigToGoal account to share your Campaign through email, Facebook, and Twitter. Also, copy a direct link to each of your Campaigns to share by text and on community sites such as NextDoor.
When a Gig offer has been submitted you’ll receive an email notification to visit your GigToGoal dashboard and see a description of the Gig.
When your Supporter creates a Gig for you, she will note her preferred contact method. You’ll see the choice under the “View Gig” tab in your account.
Each Campaign page features an “Offer a Gig” button. When someone who has an available Gig (a Supporter) visits your Campaign page, they click the “Offer a Gig” button to enter the details about the Gig. Once they’ve submitted the Gig, we’ll notify you. You’ll then log in to your GigToGoal account to view the details, and to communicate with the Supporter about their Gig.
When you reach an agreement with your Supporter about the work to be done and how much you will be paid, you’ll set up a date and time to do the work.
You’ll discuss payment with your Supporter before you begin work. Your Supporter will pay you directly, usually when the work is completed. Since GigToGoal doesn't process Gig payments you are free to make any arrangements you wish.
This amount gives you a general idea of how involved the Supporter thinks the Gig is. Once you’ve had a chance to communicate with your Supporter about the details of the Gig, you both may agree to adjust the amount based on your discussion.
Once you’ve been paid for your Gig simply log into your account to mark the Gig as completed and enter the amount you were paid and the hours you worked so that your goal reflects the new successfully completed Gig. Once you do this your Supporter will be asked to log in and leave a review of your work.
Each Campaign is limited to a maximum of savings goal of $1500 and 30 days to make it easier to achieve your goal. A short term financial objective is a ‘milestone’ in your bigger financial goal picture. You can have many milestones as you pursue your long term goals. To have well defined and realistic ‘milestones’ helps achieve each goal and provides the motivation to start another.
Because you’re willing to work and you have the skills to do the job. This approach says much about your character. And once you’ve earned positive reviews, you’ll begin building a reputation for being a good worker who is trustworthy.
Anyone in need of your skills but sharing within your network such as family, friends, and neighbors is a great place to expand your reach. After sharing your Gig Campaign with your group, they’ll share it too. As you complete Gigs and build your reputation your network will grow, expanding your opportunity for more Gigs. Remember that when you are referred by someone you will more likely be trusted, hired, and command higher pay.
Yes, you may have up to three active Campaigns at a time. It’s a good idea to limit each Campaign to a specific skill. For instance, if you are good at landscaping and dog walking/sitting create two Campaigns and highlight your experience for each. This makes it easy for Supporters to see and remember your skills and experience.
Simply start another Campaign. Your desire to work is what GigToGoal is all about. It’s important that people see your willingness to earn money rather than ask for it. As your network grows, so does your potential for new earning and saving opportunities. You should always keep at least one active Campaign at all times. And your reviews follow you, not your Campaign, so when you create a new Campaign everyone will see the good work you’ve done.
Yes! Just ask them to help you get the word out about your willingness to work. They can share directly from your Campaigns using Facebook, Twitter or the unique link to your Campaign.
